Date: April 2008 XTA ON SHOW IN AUSTRALIA XTA featured at this years’ ENTECH trade show in Australia and the company’s latest products could be found on its Australian distributors stand, Production Audio Services. ENTECH 2008 was held in February and is probably the biggest exhibition and conference of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. It showcases the latest high tech sound, broadcast, lighting and audio visual equipment, systems and services. Graeme Stevenson, General Manager for Production Audio Services, said of the show: “ENTECH was a huge success for us. We had a great response to the XTA products we displayed and in particular the DP4 Series operating via Audiocore. It was a pleasure having Bill Woods work with us on the stand.” Group Sales & Marketing Director of XTA, Bill Woods, flew in from London to join Stevenson on the stand at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. “Production Audio Services really pushed the boat out… the booth was extremely well designed and worked very well. ENTECH is always a good show and this year – for me – was excellent,” commented Woods. Stevenson had some good news for Woods: business for XTA products in Australia is looking good. “We have just sold some DP448s to Norwest Productions for its Adamson rig,” said Stevenson. “And Novatech recently added more Series 2, DP4 Series and Graphics to their inventory.” Founded in 1993 and located in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, Norwest Productions Pty Ltd is one of Australia’s largest audio service providers. The company provides audio solutions for arena concerts, theatres, broadcast and corporate events, and some past highlights include the Olympic Games in Sydney and Athens, the Rugby World Cup, MTV Australian Music Video Awards, Black Eyed Peas tour, the LG Electronics Roadshow and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The company’s recent purchase of XTA DP448s were used to process the Adamson rig on the Brooks & Dunn tour and Norwest Productions will be putting the new XTA units to good use over the coming months. “The Production Audio Services guys have been doing a great job for XTA for years and it was a pleasure to work the booth with them,” added Woods. About DP448 With two or four fully balanced inputs and up to eight fully balanced outputs, the 4 Series set a new standard in terms of performance, flexibility, and ease of use. The DP448, in line with the rest of the series’ nomenclature, has a completely new processing platform, running at a native sample rate of 96kHz to give a bandwidth of over 30kHz and a dynamic range in excess of 116dB. The range uses high-performance 24-bit converters on the inputs and outputs. [ENDS] Bill Woods, XTA Sarah James, Gasoline Media
