AMPETRONIC INDUCTION LOOPS AT PRO LIGHT + SOUND 2007

UK induction loop manufacturer Ampetronic once again returns to Pro Light + Sound in Frankfurt to show its full range of products including the ILD1000G, the latest addition to its range of amplifiers, and the best selling ILD300 and ILD500 professional audio induction loop drivers. Also on show will be a preview version of the new ILR4 audio induction loop receiver.

The ILD1000G is based on a new class-G amplifier platform and is currently the most versatile amplifier on the market. It provides the highest output of a commercially available amplifier to date, being capable of running loops well in excess of 1300m2. It also provides the highest available output voltage (50V) to enable large and complex cable arrays to be driven.

The ILD1000G dramatically increases efficiency, halving maximum power consumption compared to existing amplifiers and giving low heat dissipation, all in a compact 19” 1U case. It also offers a highly versatile set of input options, including three XLR inputs, two of which are configurable for line or microphone.

The ILD300 and ILD500 also offer Ampetronic’s unsurpassed clarity of sound for both music and speech giving superior intelligibility and are capable of driving loop areas in excess of 300m2 and 500m2 respectively.

The new ILR4 is a high quality audio induction loop receiver with 2 field strength indicator LEDs set at 0dB and –6dB as recommended in the latest revision of the IEC60118-4 standard.  It allows the user to listen to an audio frequency induction loop system using a standard pair of stereo headphones (supplied) and quickly assess the quality of a loop system.

It is an essential tool for anyone installing, maintaining or managing facilities fitted with induction loops, providing them with immediate confirmation that the loop is running.  It can also be used by anyone without a hearing aid who needs a little extra assistance to hear

“The Disability Discrimination Act places particular requirements on a wide cross section of industry,” says Ampetronic’s managing director, Julian Pieters. “But in an alarmingly high number of cases, the systems put in place for the hearing impaired merely meet the minimum requirements laid down and don’t provide an adequate solution for the very people they are intended to help – the hearing impaired.”

Ampetronic continually promotes the installation of properly planned, properly designed and properly executed induction loop systems that will not only tick all the right boxes, but are a more cost effective long term solution in just about every situation.

“Ampetronic has world-leading products and an excellent design team, so we can help with the simplest or the most complicated of projects,” adds Pieters. “Pro Light + Sound gives us a good platform to continue to spread the word.”

Other products on show are the ILD15, ILD20, ILD100, ILD122, ILR3 receiver, CMR3 calibrated audio induction loop receiver, HLS02 loop driver, CLD1 compact loop driver.
